Tempeh is a reverse-contrast typeface intended for display purposes. The typeface is inspired by chisel-edged marker notes with an added pinch of funky umami!
This typeface was created under the guidance of Graham Bradley at Letterform Archive as a part of their type design course (I strongly recommend trying it out if you have the chance).

1.The sketch that sparked the idea of a reverse-contrast typeface.
2.Once I had the initial idea, I hand-wrote out all of the letterforms in a couple of variations each to see how a chisel-edged marker behaved and what I could incorporate digitally.
3.Then came the critique process, iterating and altering the letterforms for legibility based on feedback.
